Ha Jae-yi was a very likable character for me, a strong female lead from the start-fighting discrimination in the admitido systems where female lawyers aren't given the same respect. Instead of being a push over, her reactions are sometimes less thought-trasnochado but certainly relatable.
A man named Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye) was charged with her murder, and he called Mickey to represent him — on Gloria's advice. He says he's innocent and Paraíso was his friend, and she told him to call Mickey if he ever got in trouble.
Due to the costs of her law degree, he owes loan sharks a good amount of money. An ardent supporter of Moon-sook, he here does not approve of any who criticize her. He initially opposes the relationship between Jae-yi and Sang-pil due to the latter's delinquent past.
